Technology and Competency Road Map
Competency Mapping is a process that identifies critical competencies for an organization and/or a position and incorporates those competencies into multiple organizational processes (e.g., job evaluation, training, and recruitment). Competency mapping can be used in job assessments, training, and recruitment.
Competency is the term used to define the work-related abilities and conduct necessary to successfully carry out a role. While fundamental competencies are necessary for all role profiles or types, some role profiles also call for unique competencies. For instance, whereas specialized competencies may include problem-solving abilities, business understanding, and drive and determination, core competencies may be soft skills or attitudes such as honesty and integrity. A sales manager is responsible for managing the sales office, supervising and energizing the workforce, creating quotes, and creating sales estimates. Our sales manager will require commercial awareness abilities, problem-solving abilities, and drive and tenacity for these tasks.
