Capacity Planning

Capacity planning deals with efficiently utilizing available resources. Efficiency and optimal utilization of resources are one of the main goals of capacity planning and are addressed by topics such as design capacity and effective capacity utilization. Tools for capacity planning such as break-even analysis and application of expected monetary value (EMV) to the capacity decision will also be tackled as it is applied to building strategies for capacity planning.
